Can I Give My Pet Multiple Products?Updated 9 hours ago

At Pet Honesty, we understand that pet parents want the best for their furry companions. While it's safe to give multiple supplements in many cases, it’s important to follow specific guidelines to ensure your pet’s health and safety.
 
As always, we recommend you check with your veterinarian before starting or combining supplements. Especially if there are existing health, breed, or dietary concerns or restrictions. Your pet’s well-being is our top priority. 

General Guidelines

• Mixing Formats is Okay: You can combine different product types—chews, powders, and liquids—within the same day.
• One Function, One Product*: Do not give more than one product that serves the same purpose in a single day. For example, avoid using both Hemp Hip + Joint and Senior Hip + Joint. *Except for Dental Products, please refer to guidance below
• Caution: We do not recommend combining more than three Pet Honesty products, or more than two that contain probiotics.

Dogs (Over 6 months old) and Cats (Over 2 lbs) 

Dog Supplements and Cat Treats 

• You may use up to three different Pet Honesty products daily.
• Limit to two products containing probiotics to avoid potential digestive issues such as gas, bloating, or loose stools.

Fresh Breath Dental Powder 

• We recommend using this product by itself to prevent diluting its active ingredients.

Powder Toppers (Including Dental Powder) 

• You can give up to two powder toppers per day.
• For best results, alternate them rather than serving both at the same time.

Liquid Supplements 

• Give only one type of oil per feeding.
• To use multiple oils, alternate them or serve at different times of day.

Not for Puppies (Less than 6 months) or Kittens (Less than 2 lbs) 

Combining multiple products is not recommended for puppies and kittens. The only approved product for Puppies is Puppy Multivitamin, otherwise consult their veterinarian for usage.  

Dental Product Combinations

Dogs:
It is generally safe to combine Dental Powder with one Fresh Stick (Dental, Allergy, or Calming) in healthy adult dogs. 

Cats:
It is safe to combine the Dental Powder with the Dual Texture Fresh Breath Dental Bites for healthy adult cats over 2 lbs.
