Specific Health Conditions or Special Dietary Needs?Updated 2 months ago

At Pet Honesty, we love how passionate our customers are about the health of their pets. We formulate our products with a wide margin of safety for most pets, and everything is manufactured following strict quality standards to ensure that safety and efficacy. Our product labels disclose all intentionally added ingredients; however, we do not conduct testing for trace elements or byproducts that may naturally occur in raw materials. If your pet has specific health concerns or dietary restrictions— (such as but not limited to) hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, or a low-sodium diet requirement—we cannot guarantee that our products meet your specific medical or dietary requirements in unique situations.

There are several resources pet parents can use to further research ingredients, possible medication interactions, diets, and health conditions.

  • American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA): The AVMA offers comprehensive information on pet medications, nutrition, and overall health. Their resources emphasize the importance of understanding pet medications and ensuring safe usage.

  • PetMD: This platform provides detailed articles on various pet health topics, including dangerous medication mixes to avoid, nutrition advice, and common health conditions.

  • WebMD Pet Health Center: WebMD offers a dedicated section for pet health, covering topics such as nutrition, common illnesses, and medication information.

  • MSD Veterinary Manual: A trusted resource that provides in-depth information on pet nutrition, diseases, and management practices.

  • Pet Food Institute: This organization offers insights into pet health and nutrition, helping pet owners understand the ingredients in pet foods and their benefits.

We highly urge you to always consult with a veterinarian before making significant changes to your pet's diet or medication regimen to ensure safety and appropriateness for your pet's specific health needs.
