Understanding Dental Powder Serving SizesUpdated 9 days ago
We are excited about our Dental Powder for Dogs!
This is a newer product for us and there is still a bit of confusion from Pet Parents about the serving suggestions and sizes.
For ALL of our products, always go by the serving sizes on the label. The serving size under Directions for Use is always going to be PER DAY. That means the suggested serving size is the MAX amount you should give your pet daily.
How Much?
For the Fresh Breath Dental Powder for example,
- A dog less than 25 lbs: 1 scoop per day
- Dogs 25 - 75 lbs: 2 Scoops per day
- Dogs over 75 lbs: 3 scoops per day.
How to Feed?
You may choose to administer the daily serving during or after mealtime.
- Using it as a food topper is more effective than mixing it with the food offered.
- If you choose to offer during a meal, you can sprinkle the powder on one feeding per day or split it between 2 meals per day if that is your feeding schedule as long as you do not exceed the daily serving suggestion on the label.
- If desired, add a splash of water to adjust the teexture.
*It is important to remember that overconsumption of the product could lead to stomach upset, vomiting, or diarrhea. Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset. Use with caution in animals with hyperthyroid disease.
When Ordering:
Don't let the product page scare you. The "Small", "Medium", and "Large" Breed Size buttons are only for the Subscribe & Save Option. This will make sure a jar is delivered every 4 weeks, 8 weeks, or 12 weeks, depending on the serving size you will have to use daily and how fast you will need a replacement. 
If you choose "One-time Purchase", you will see that those options disappear.
